Our Club (please click on below tab)
EISA was established in 1936, and we are incorporated in New York. We are one of the oldest Irish Setter Specialty Clubs. We are primarily a bench show club, holding 2 specialties a year. The Indoor is held in February the week-end immediately preceding Westminster. The Irish Harvest Specialties Cluster is held in the beginning of October in conjunction with ISCCC and ISCNE. Obedience and Rally competition is also offered at these shows. In addition, we support the entry of Irish Setters at several all breed shows each year including: New Brunswick Kennel Club in March, Bucks County Kennel Club in May, Somerset Kennel Club in September and Morris & Essex every five years. We have general membership meetings after judging at these shows, followed by tail gate picnics where all owners of Irish Setters are welcome.
EISA sponsors a Field Trial in September of each year. We have been the proud host club for at least three National Specialties. We also support Breed Information Seminars, and we occasionally sponsor grooming and/or handling clinics. Further, EISA does have some members who are dedicated to and enthusiastic participants in Obedience, Rally and Agility. Getting together with the membership and sharing our experiences with
other owners is lots of fun, and the greatest benefit of membership in EISA.
